No Line On The Horizon

so the new U2 album is out today, and i'm still kind of on the fence about it. i've listened to it twice all the way through, and while there are some really standout tracks on it, it's still lacking something. it took me a long time to warm up to the first single "Get On Your Boots", which sounded just plain awful at first, but has gotten better with each listen.

i don't know, maybe it's because i expected so much out of this album, since i really liked their last two albums, "All That You Can't Leave Behind" and "How To Dismantle An Atomic Bomb". i also know the greatness that U2 can achieve, as evidenced with their earlier albums "The Joshua Tree" and "Achtung Baby". so basically, while this isn't a bad album, it's just not amazing.

in other news, i am beyond stoked for this weekend, since i finally get to see Watchmen up on the big screen. it's gonna be a long, strange trip, but it's gonna be awesome.

Nine Inch Nails will begin their "farewell" tour this May. after the tour they're going to "disappear" for a while; what that means, i don't know. anyway, they're touring with Jane's Addiction and possibly some other band (my guess it's Dillinger Escape Plan). they're touring amphitheatres, and hopefully they'll hit up Tampa or West Palm Beach so i can see them again.

alright, i guess that does it for now. i need a nap.
