hurricane watch: day 3

see that IR picture above? that's where Fay is now (3:45 pm). it's moving slowly and beating the east coast to death.
but the worst hasn't even happened yet. right now, the wind is blowing at around 40 mph, with gusts up to 60. our fence in the backyard is almost in pieces and there are branches and debris all over the place.
the bayside near the beach and my house is under two feet of water. bridges are closed all over and uprooted trees are blocking roads everywhere.
i know this sounds bad, and to some degree it is, but i've seen worse. i'm really glad it hasn't gotten bad. but then again we've only gotten about 3.5 inches of rain here, but we expect at least 7 more over the next few days.
as it gets worse here, i'll keep posting updates.
