Florida Mauls Georgia

Georgia wanted revenge. Last year after their 49 - 10 defeat, UF Urban Meyer called three timeouts at the end of the game to rub it in the Dawgs' mangy faces. UGA coach put pictures of Urban Meyer with his hands in a T position all over the locker room. The Dawgs even emerged from the locker room Saturday afternoon in black helmets and black pants, apparently hoping to "black-out" the Gators. The game was even on Halloween. The Dawgs felt like everything was in their favor.

Problem was, Florida wanted some justice too.

The Gators were tired of all the negative comments about their offense, and how Tebow was in a slump after the concussion he sustained during the Kentucky game. After three games in which the Gators scored no more than 29 points, they were ready to prove their doubters wrong.

And they sure did.

Going to the Florida/Georgia game (aka the World's Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party) is something that just has to be experienced. Anyone who is a fan of college football should know that this rivalry is one of the biggest in the sport, and is always filled with drama and excitement. The last time I went to this game two years ago, Florida lost and I got harassed by Georgia fans on the way out. This year, I got the last laugh (as did the rest of Gator Nation) as the mighty Gators smashed the Dawgs 41 - 17.

Out offense was back in top form, Tebow was amazing, the defense was great as always, and special teams was fantastic. But most of all, Tebow ran right into the record books, passing Herschel Walker as the SEC's all-time leader in rushing touchdowns. Being able to see Tim beat that record in person (against Walker's old team no less) was really exciting. But best of all, every doubt and worry I had about the team is almost gone, as I feel Florida is back on track to truly being the best team in the nation.

So keep on going Florida. Show those doubters wrong.

And most importantly, prove that right now it is truly great to be a Florida Gator.
