holy shit.
i saw Rancid last night and they fucking rocked the house. i'm pretty sure the decibel levels at that show were up in the 130 range. that means permanent hearing damage. but it was totally worth it. if i go deaf, i'll be happy that the last thing i heard were the sweet sounds of Rancid.
they played all the hits and some b-sides too, and even an Operation Ivy song (which totally made the night for me). i just wish they had played a new song from their upcoming album. but even without new material, the guys still sounded amazing. they had so much energy and looked like they were having fun while playing, which is rare in bands today.
so if you love Rancid or a just a fan of loud, fast, furious punk rock, go see them on this tour. just try not to get killed in the pit.
